Summer Cool

Dress & Shoes from Zara

Last week I went out to the Hamptons to style a shoot with super talented Zev Starr.  We did some fun looks out on the road and in the studio.

Nothing says summer chic in the Hamptons like a dainty blue-striped dress with a little bow in the front.  I particularly like this feature because the front tie is actually adjustable so that you can really fix it to your torso size.  I completed the girly look with these amazing metallic oxfords I found at Zara for that contrasting dose of cool that I love.

Who's ready for the summer?

New Jewels: Rocksbox

Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Today I'm sharing a new way of accessory-hunting, courtesy of Rocksbox.  Truth be told, I'm not the greatest when it comes to shopping ahead for accessories.  Oftentimes I'll make an outfit, and realize after the fact that I don't have the right accessories to go with it, or that an extra piece is needed to keep the outfit from looking too bare.  So when I heard about Rocksbox, the concept sounded perfect for me.

It's a monthly selection of pieces sent to you, tailored specially to your personal style with the help of Rocksbox stylists.  When you receive the items in the mail, you get to trial them for as long as you like, then swap them out for new pieces anytime you want! If they picked pieces that you love, you can purchase them at the insider price.  Plus they give you $10 of "shine spend" to use towards a purchase each month.

How easy is that?

Confession: I'm a bit of a commitment-phobe.

Luckily for me, and anyone else with the same condition, you can opt out at any time, no strings attached.  That said, I'm loving my new goods so much that I'm not quite so concerned about that phobia anymore.

Ps.  Reversible necklace.  Love.

Here's the best part.  Sign up with my code stylophylexoxo and you get your first month free.  Is that sweet or what? Go forth and accessorize yourselves!

Have a fab Tuesday!

Black and White but Never Boring

Dress - Sandro (similar here, here, and here)//Shoes - Topshop (also in all black)
Clutch - Ela (similar here, here, here)

Black & white with menswear inspiration.

I'm really feeling the menswear inspired designs this season; I feel my closet is craving some more edgy, smartly tailored pieces.  Additionally I'm loving loafers, and I walked right into this pair at Topshop just before fashion week.  The thing about doing menswear-inspired from head to toe is that you have to be careful to give it a feminine touch to ensure it's still a flattering look on the female body.  Which is why I felt this sleeveless tuxedo-style dress was perfect.  I'm able to wear the masculine tailoring while still showing some leg, and with a deep-V cut so that things wouldn't feel too stuffy and business-like.

Almost always I will compete a black and white outfit with some pop of color or fun accessory, like this metallic clutch and a red lip.

Watching You

Jumper - Zara//Belts - H&M//Clutch - Lina Casale

Went for a walk in the park and found this handsome, lively bull.
He was attracted to my accessories and I, his multichromatic stare.
Sparks flew and we became instant friends.
